Melt is a local Miami newspaper focusing on gastronomy, in particular, everything sweet (as thename denotes). Features include Restaurant and event ratings, event calendar and feature articles on local pastry chefs. The overall look makes use of bold. semi-translucent candy-colors, and cursive, sweet type. A strong emphasis was placed on making the newspaper gender-neautral, as it is easy to turn such a topic into a very feminine visual look. The print version is exclusively bound using a French biding technique. A digital iPad/Tablet version is also available for download in Apple & Android App Stores. This version includes the same content as each monthly print edition, along with enhanced content, such as animations, slideshows, videos and links to attractions.
